How do volcanoes work?

On our field trip to the Hawaii Volcanoes National Park, we will be going over what we learned about volcanoes in class.

Big Island Volcano Field Trip

To the PARENTS and STUDENTS of Miss Hotu's 4th grade class:

Aloha!

This upcoming month, the class will be going on a field trip to the Hawaii Volcanoes National Park as part of our "How Volcanoes Work" geography project.

Thanks to a grant from Hawaii Community Foundation the field trip will only cost $50 per child. Permission and health forms will be sent out this week for parents to sign. Along with these, the students will be receiving a field trip schedule and a list of what to bring. Don't worry about lunch! It will be provided. Just remember to list any food allergies on the health form. The money and forms will be due by September 4th.

I'm looking forward to going on this trip with everyone! It's going to be a lot of fun!
